Center for Workforce Excellence in EBPs

NYU McSilver’s Center for Workforce Excellence represents a NYS investment in mental health through training and support around three initial evidence-based practices: Functional Family Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Multidimensional Family Therapy. CWE provides trainings on the EBPs for free to reduce the obstacles that community based organizations and other behavioral health agencies may have integrating these effective practices.

CWE also promotes the exploration and implementation of promising practices in children’s mental health through the Innovations Lab. The Innovations Lab will identify and disseminate practices that may not have the empirical evidence to be considered as EBPs, but have demonstrated the potential to address the gaps in behavioral health services for children, youth and families from diverse backgrounds. A core initiative of the Innovations Lab is to identify, disseminate, and develop community defined practices that support or address the mental health and psychosocial needs of underserved youth and/or their families across NYS.
