Program Associate

As part of the Innovations Lab, Aimary Rubio drives the Community-Defined Practices (CDP) Initiative, which aims to identify and develop interventions that address the mental health needs of historically-underserved youth in New York State. She also supports McSilver’s training initiatives under the Trauma Informed Network and Resource Center (TINRC), and helps run the NYC Resilience Collaborative’s activities.

Prior to joining McSilver, Aimary received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. As a graduate student, she explored her interests in mental health, public health, and implementation science through her coursework and capstone project. Her non-academic pursuits included a Zankel Fellowship at Girls on the Run NYC, a summer practicum under the Columbia-WHO Center for Global Mental Health, and various volunteer work around NYC.

Before graduate school, Aimary’s professional background was primarily in developing MHPSS and socio-civic initiatives within the nonprofit sector in Manila, Philippines. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
