Managed Care Technical Assistance Center

Founded in 2014, the Managed Care Technical Assistant Center (MCTAC) is a part of New York University’s McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research. Funded and supported by New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), MCTAC provides training and technical assistance to all behavioral health agencies in New York State. The MCTAC team includes researchers, clinical, administrative and business experts with decades of experience working in the field of behavioral health.

MCTAC works closely with funders and key strategic partners to advance the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services, particularly as New York State continually evolves and improves its Medicaid program. Playing an essential role in this effort, MCTAC assists stakeholders across these systems, such as government agencies, managed care plans, healthcare providers, electronic health record systems, and trade and advocacy organizations, to address the needs of the state’s most vulnerable populations.
